Well, another week is gone but this was a very uneventful weekend. I was fire guard so the only time I got to go out of the barracks was at chow time. The only thing that was good about the job was that I got out of the parade today. This weekend is the half-way pint - just four more weeks of school and then we're through. This next week we have only four hours of classes a day instead of five. Yesterday we finished gunnery and military hygiene. We finished Math and have already started on physics. Code is still my hardest subject but I'm not worrying about it.

Did I tell you about our graduating party to be held on the 17th of Aug. A dance band and everything and even girls. Boy, that sure will be fun. I haven't danced in such a long time I don't think I remember how. We won the track meet last week so we have a trophy now. We are also considered upper classmen now - the only thing that means is that we get more gigs. I got the pictures of Robin and Em and they sure were swell. Boy this letter sure is rambling, but I don't know what to say - there isn't any news or anything new around here. I got a pretty bad sun burn at the track meet but I'm alright now except for my lips. They're still cracked and sore. I'm in pretty good condition otherwise. I sure did a lot of letter writing today. This is the eighth letter and I'm all wrote out. Well, that's all for now so I'll sign off.

Love,
Rae
