I had to write for it's "long time one due" for a letter from me. I really don't know what to write. We've been doing nothing but drilling, taking PT and having inspections. Oh yes, today we had a lecture on the Cadet Code. Sunday we had guard duty but it's really just directing civilian visitors to the right buildings. I got the insured package today and it was pretty good. Most of the cookies were whole and the others were only in halves instead of crumbs. I got the candy and writing paper also the pictures. I sure did enjoy the pictures. I'm going to send some of them back though for I don't have any place to keep them all. I just had to borrow another pen for the guy wanted to use his. I got a letter from you today - so they family liked Em eh - that's good. So Robin can get off any weekend he wants eh - the lucky boy. Giff sure did look swell. Say pa, you really do have a big garden. You must spend all your time weeding it. I liked that picture of you and your shadow. Say, who made you sit in the sun for your pictures? Giff should know better than that. just have a little more patience and I'll get a picture to you. They haven't issued us our blouses yet. We're supposed to stay here in pre-flight for eight weeks. Gee, three months is a long time to spend in one place. I'm used to moving every month or so. We ought to start school next week - I hope. So far time sure has dragged this week. It's funny when you stop to think. I'm just starting what I joining up for seven months ago. Well, I'm finally on my way so keep rooting for me.

Love,
Rae
