Well, I'm still here and I still don't know for how long. I haven't done a thing since last Friday - Friday I went up in the chamber and that finished my processing. So now I just sleep all day and go out at night. We have to be in at 1 AM so I can't get to Omaha. I get paid tomorrow so I'll be sending money home pretty quick now. I certainly don't think much of Lincoln. It's not for me - too many churches. Say Pa, they can't sell liquor or mixed drinks over the bar but they have a beer called Stites that is 14% proof - you would like that. I guess it's more of an ale or something. How do you like the fancy way I cross my tees? So you finally got an apart. I don't believe it - I'll bet you're just fooling me. I'm glad you like it - how did you get such a big one? Say, where is it from Unks house? Which way? How far and what's it near? Pa, you said it takes an hour to get to work, is that good or bad? What did it take from G.E? Say ma, how do you like the place? Do you have a phone? Is it near stores? Have you got all the junk in it yet from West Chicago?

So you finally got a letter from Mrs. Molen eh? did she send you any pictures? I couldn't even get a card out here to send you so I didn't get one. I was going to call you up but didn't know where to call so I give thee a late happy mothers day. Well, this is a heck of a letter so I guess I better close before it gets worse. It looks like the scribbling of a two year old --

Love,
Rae
