Well, I certainly have lots of free time to write but there's nothing to write about. Every Sat. night we go in town and spend our money on fire water and then come home in a taxi. We went to town last night and met George Sorenson - he graduated with me from Glenbard. He's in the engineers division, stationed out at Imperial Dam, about 25 miles from the base. It sure was good seeing him again. Took all my uniforms to the cleaners today for we'll wear them again when we hit Neb. While we're on the base we can go without ties and have our sleeves rolled up - just like the comforts of home. We still have to shine our shoes though. I fly mornings this week so I have to get up early these days - tough. I got three letters yesterday - from Bud, Bob, and Ray. Louis is going to have her baby in July or August sometime. I got a box of candy from Doris the other day. I think I'm going to give her the brush off pretty quick. She's getting silly ideas in her nut. That's why I told you not to send her a picture just yet. I've been trying to let her down easy, but I guess I'll just have to get it over quick.

I got a box of candy from Aunt Berry, I think. There was no name and I got some ties form Auntie Elsie I guess - no name. Anyway, thank whoever sent them. This next weekend will be my last one here and I still haven't got June's address nor Sonny's either - let's get on the ball please. Well, I guess that's about all there is to say for now so I guess I'll close for now.

Love,
Rae
